Pre-Work To Be Completed Before Class

PRE-WORK – To Be Completed (1) Week Prior to Class if Possible

The week before training – Please complete the following steps below one week before the start of the session to ensure the verification process is complete and that you have access to the MSLE Portal and resources BEFORE class begins.

Steps to Sign In to MSLE Portal

  1. Create a Microsoft account email address (if you don’t already have one) at account.microsoft.com.
  2. Log into the Microsoft Learn for Educators Portalwith your Microsoft account email address (not a school email – i.e., *.edu account) [NOTE: you must sign up with a Microsoft account email address and not a school email address as we recognize that your employment might change and we want to ensure that you have access to your MSLE profile should you start teaching at a different school sometime in the future].
  3. Complete the steps to create a profile. This includes verifying your school email address. You will receive an email at your school account titled “Action needed: Verify your email account with Microsoft.” It’s important to click the verification link within 7 days. Should the link expire, please submit a ticket through the MSLE portal, following the below directions.
    • Log in with your MSA
      • You will be asked to verify your MSA and will receive a verification code via the MSA you signed in with.
      • Submit the verification code and successfully log in.
      • Create a support ticket by clicking on the Help link at the top of the MSLE Portal.
  1. Once your school email address is verified, select the box to agree to the personal Terms and Conditions.
  2. This will also enable access to the MSLE Teams Community where you will have access to support from the MSLE Community Managers and connection with other educators.
  3. Next, you will complete your institution profile.
  4. You will receive a Thank You message which means you now have access to the MSLE portal.

For all sessions, you will need access to a laptop and active Microsoft Learn for Educators access (see Pre-Work above for instructions) for hands-on activities.
