Answer: In some cases you are able to apply completed CCNA Voice and CCNA Video exams towards a CCNA Collaboration certification, but not all exams within the CCNA Voice and CCNA Video tracks will be accepted. Question: Are there any required formal training courses to obtain the CCNA Collaboration certification?
Answer: There are no formal training courses required, however a series of instructor-led training courses are recommended to prepare for the required exams. Recommended trainings include:
• Implementing Cisco Collaboration Devices v1.0 (CICD)
• Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices 2 v1.0 (CIVND2)

Question: What are the prerequisites for the CCNA Collaboration certification?
Answer: There are no prerequisites for the CCNA Collaboration certification. However, recommended that you have 1–3 years of experience working in a unified communications, voice, video, and/or collaboration network environment. We also recommend attending or having equivalent knowledge associated with Interconnection Cisco Network Devices Part 1 (ICND 1).

Question: How do I achieve a CCNA Collaboration certification if I already have a CCNA Video certification?
Answer: A candidate possessing a valid CCNA Video certification will be automatically granted a CCNA Collaboration certification. However, the existing recertification period applies. For example, if your CCNA Video certification is scheduled for recertification, you must recertify as a CCNA Collaboration candidate before your CCNA Video certification lapses.

Question: If I already have my CCNA Voice and CCNA Video does this mean that I am now a CCNA Collaboration.
Answer: Yes that is correct. You have already completed the requirements for CCNA Collaboration

Question: CCNA Voice certification retires on August 14, 2015. When CCNA Voice retires will my CCNA Voice certification automatically convert to a CCNA Collaboration certification?
Answer: No. It is however recommended that a candidate with an active CCNA Voice certification migrate to the CCNA Collaboration certification. To migrate from a CCNA Voice to a CCNA Collaboration certification, the holder of an active CCNA Voice certification will need to pass the following exam.
• Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices v1.0 CIVND v1.0 Exam# 210-065

Keep in mind that the CCNA Voice is active for 3 years from the date that the certification was awarded. This 3 year period may extend pass the CCNA Voice certification retirement date.

Question: CCNA Video certification retires on August 14, 2015. When CCNA Video retires will my CCNA Video certification automatically convert to a CCNA Collaboration certification?

Answer: No. Although a CCNA Collaboration is a prerequisite for CCNP Collaboration, a CCNP Voice is a higher-level certification than a CCNA Collaboration. So a candidate with a valid CCNP Voice certification is only required to pass the Implementing Cisco IP Telephony & Video, Part 2 v1.0 (CIPTV2 v1.0) exam to receive a CCNP Collaboration certification.
