Advanced Cooling and Power Efficiency
- The Cisco UCS X-Series platform delivers 1.7 times more cooling at 30% less power than the 5108 series chassis, utilizing 22 system fans, 40 mm dual rotor fans, and a straight empty space design for maximized airflow efficiency.
- UCS X-Series chassis is optic and liquid cooling ready, with the cooling tool already available for purchase, enhancing future-proofing and potential for advanced thermal management.
Powerful and Versatile Computing
- The X210 CM7 node supports two Intel 4G Xeon Sapphire Rapids processors, DDR5 4800 32 GB RAM, PCIe GPUs, and six drives (SAS, NVMe, or two GPUs), making it ideal for Nutanix HCI deployments.
- UCSX series provides 200G aggregate per compute node when using both fabric modules with the 5th gen VIC (15231), supporting various drive options including M.2 NVMe drives for OS installations.
Scalability and Compatibility
- The UCSX series chassis offers infinite forwards and backwards compatibility, allowing seamless upgrades from M6 to M7 nodes without replacing entire components and enabling 100G infrastructure upgrades by simply swapping IFMs.
- UCSX series platform delivers 2-4 times more storage and 2-4 times more GPU capacity than the 5108 series chassis, thanks to its vertically installed system and cross-fabric modules.
Nutanix Management and Deployment
- Nutanix Prism Central serves as the main management suite for Nutanix HCI, offering single sign-on, LDAP integration, and centralized control of all Nutanix clusters through an API connection to Prism Element devices.
- Foundations tool enables a four-click method to define cluster profiles, assign IPs, select hypervisors, and initiate service profile provisioning on X series, streamlining Nutanix deployments on Cisco UCS X-Series hardware.
