Course Overview

Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 is Microsoft's Unified Communications solution. Office Communications Server converges e-mail, instant messaging using voice and video and also offers an enterprise level VoIP solution. Students who take this course will learn to deploy and manage an on-premise IM and web conference solution using audio and video in addition to integrating OCS with an existing VoIP gateway using analog and IP phones.

Course Objectives

After completing this course, the student should be able to:

  • Install and Configure Communications Web Access
  • Decide on the necessary requirements for on-premise conferencing
  • Deploy an on-premise conferencing using Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007

  • Configure voice capabilities for Office Communications Server 2007
  • Integrate Office Communications Server 2007 with an existing VoIP gateway to provide an enterprise level VoIP solution
