Course Overview

This course will develop the skills for installing, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting IP services such as FCIP and iSCSI on Cisco Storage Networking solutions.

Prerequisites

• Basic understanding of data storage components and protocols, including SCSI and Fibre Channel
• Basic understanding of data network components and protocols, including TCP / IP
• Basic understanding of MDS 9000> installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this solution-based course, students will be able to:

• Describe the hardware and software features, functions, and applications of the MDS 9000 IP Services (IPS) modules as they relate to FCIP and iSCSI implementations.
• Examine basic and advanced configuration, including traffic management and performance tuning, and perform basic troubleshooting for the MDS 9000 IPS module
