Sunset Learning Institute believes in getting involved in our communities and with aid organizations to help make our world just a little bit better. Over the years, SLI has participated in events to raise money for various causes. Some of these include:

American Lung Association Run the Republic

American Lung Association: Run the Republic – An annual event held in Denver, Colorado to raise funds for lung health research initiatives.

Marine Corps Marathon participation

The Leukemia and Lymphoma SocietyMarine Corps Marathon (Team in Training) – An annual event held in Washington, DC to raise funds for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research and patient services.

Child Rescue Centre BenefitHelping Children Worldwide: Child Rescue Centre Benefit – A annual benefit held in Reston, Virginia to raise funds for the orphaned children in Sierra Leone.

American Cancer Society: The Owen Sondrol Memorial Golf Tournament – An annual benefit held in Denver, Colorado to raise funds for the Society.

The Children Cancer Foundation: A benefit to raise funds for the foundation.

University of Virginia: Capstone Thesis – A year long project to support real-world education for graduating Systems Engineering Students from UVa.
